Why can’t the Headies ever start on time?

The Headies is the most prestigious award show but still seems to have issues with starting on time.
The 11th edition was billed to start by 7 p.m. but did not begin until 10 p.m.
That observance of ‘African time’ ended up evoking feelings of derision among many who stayed up to witness it.

As many however enjoyed the on-stage chemistry between Falz and Adesua Etomi who were great co-hosts. But that served as little consolation.
It must be said that organisers hoped to start on time this year. Hopefully, they will get it right next year.
Forget that we may have said that last year too, though.
